This work is composed of three cylindrical columns of identical thickness, each representing a timeline of its own—past, present, and future—from bottom to top. Normally, a timeline is connected in a straight line, but here, the three directions intersect, with the present axis positioned diagonally. It would be dull to assume that future light cannot be seen simply because nothing can exceed the speed of light. In fact, we hold in our minds the light of the past—images or afterimages—which enable us to imagine and create the future. Just as there is an intersection between the past and the present, perhaps there is also a point of contact between the present and the future. Could it be that the column and the timeline representing the future are in motion? Perhaps it is from this point of intersection that transcendence is born. What light brings us is not only illumination—but the belief that it carries a greater abundance of information about the future.
